Series of portraiture collections featuring notable individuals from the RCSI past and present.

1790-present

The RCSI Portrait Sculpture and Bust collection comprises a total of 36 busts and statues along with 3 external adorned figures of Greek deities on the roof of 123 St Stephen's Green. In 1812 RCSI commissioned its first bust portrait of one of its founding fathers. William Dease. Throughout the century, RCSI added to its portrait sculpture collection at regular intervals through commissions, donations and bequests as a mark of respect for its Members and staff, living or recently deceased. The collection reflects RCSI's development of healthcare education, research and practice and signals an enduring respect for the individuals who made this possible.
